People sometimes tell us that when you have a child with specific needs, you should put your life on hold. As if everything had to stop, as if our family were supposed to wait for a simpler, lighter, easier time. But I refuse that idea.

On nous dit parfois qu’avec un enfant aux besoins spécifiques, il faudrait mettre sa vie en pause. Comme si tout devait s’arrêter, comme si notre famille devait vivre en attente d’un moment plus simple, plus léger, plus facile. Mais je refuse cette idée.
